Dani Alves has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Spain
The Prosecutor's Office requested this Friday the entry into preventive detention and without Bail of former FC Barcelona player Dani Alves for sexual assault after that the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested him for assaulting a young woman in a club. December 30.
In Spain, the crime of sexual assault ranges from unwanted contact or unwanted sexual nature until rape. Police said they couldn't provide more details of the case.

The alleged incident took place on December 31 at a nightclub in Barcelona, police told The Associated Press. Alves will appear now before a judge, who will decide the charges.
At 39, Alves is one of the most successful footballers in history of football. Throughout his long career, he won titles in elite clubs like Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. He currently plays for the Pumas of Mexico.
