Conmebol offered to change its shield to the Brazilian Confederation
Conmebol is planning an emotional tribute to Brazilian legend Pele, currently hospitalized in São Paulo with a lung infection. The idea of The South American Confederation is to replace three of the five stars of the Shield of the National Team for three hearts, to remember the three World Cups won by Pelé. In fact, he is the only footballer in history who has won three World Cups (in 1958, 1962 and 1970).

"We want to send all the strength and support to Pele and his family and help him recover as quickly as possible. Pele was a football genius, the pioneer in their role. With him was born the first concept related to the number 10. There It all started, including comparisons, but Pele will always be incomparable." CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez
We are talking about an absolute champion who will always remain in the hearts of the Football lovers. Pelé is still with us and he is there, in this World Cup. For honor his figure, we take the opportunity to propose to the CBF (Brazilian Confederation of Football) change three of the five stars of the shield for three hearts in honor of O'Rei, the only star in the history of football. "Who has already won three times the title of world champion," concluded Dominguez.

The reason? They are the 3 World Cups that Pelé won and just the city in which he was born is called Three Hearts.
